Meet Jocelyn
Born in Rome and trained in Italy, Jocelyn Longworth is a graduate in piano performance from the Turin Conservatoire G. Verdi and attended Vincenzo Vitale’s master class in Florence.
She has performed with classical chamber ensembles and avant-garde groups in Italy, France and the UK. She has taught in music schools, state and independent schools, and privately for many years.
Her teaching draws together performance, advanced music theory, aural training, musicology and jazz-teaching study with the ABRSM in London. Lessons are exacting where they need to be, always encouraging, and never one-size-fits-all.
The teaching space
Lessons take place in Jocelyn’s welcoming Henley-on-Thames studio, in a calm setting made for attentive listening and confident playing.

What families say
“My son has been taught by Jocelyn for four years, and we have been particularly impressed by her enthusiasm, expertise and passion. She has encouraged him to perform both individually and as part of an ensemble, going above and beyond to create these opportunities. Her feedback is always detailed and knowledgeable, and she is proactive, organised and wonderfully supportive. We would wholeheartedly recommend Jocelyn as a piano teacher.”
“Jocelyn has been brilliant with both our children, who have very different needs. She is patient, sets high standards and always knows when to push and when to give space. Our eldest is progressing through the grades with growing confidence, while our youngest, who has significant additional needs, continues to amaze us with their progress. Jocelyn doesn’t just teach piano—she builds real self-belief.”
